Polyacrylamide (PAM) CAS 9003-05-8 is a linear polymer with the chemical formula (C3H5NO)n. It is a hard glassy solid at room temperature. The products include glue, latex and white powder, translucent beads and flakes. Good thermal stability. It can be dissolved in water in any proportion, and the aqueous solution is a uniform and transparent liquid. After long-term storage, the viscosity of the solution will decrease due to the slow degradation of the polymer, especially when the storage and transportation conditions are poor. [1] Polyacrylamide is used as lubricant, suspending agent, clay stabilizer, oil-displacing agent, fluid loss agent and thickening agent, in drilling, acidification, fracturing, water plugging, cementing and secondary oil recovery, tertiary oil recovery It has been widely used and is an extremely important oilfield chemical.

 

Polyacrylamide(PAM) is a white powder or granule. Polyacrylamide is a kind of macromolecule polymer. It is not soluble in some organic solvents. Provided with a good flocculability, Polyacrylamide can lower the friction resistance betweem liquids. As a highly-effective flocculability, small usage of this material can purify a few times of water compared with other flocculants. Polyacrylamide is devided with anionic Polyacrylamide, cationic Polyacrylamide and nonionic Polyacrylamide. They are widely used in water treatment including sewage water, drinking water and industry water treatment.

Polyacrylamide, existed in powder form or granule form, is a white material and freely soluble in water. Polyacrylamide is not soluble in some organic solvents such as alcohol, acetone. benzene, toluene, xylene or gasoline.
